Being a public secondary school, students are admitted to the school through selection made by the Ministry of Education Science and Technology. The selection is made among the standard 8 primary students within Mponela community who sit for Primary School Leaving Certificate Examinations, hence those successful in the examination are selected to the MCDSS for secondary education.
